Using weaving sticks -
Here we have used five sticks however more can be used to create wider strips.
Firstly cut five stands of wool three times the finished length of strip required.
Thread each strand of wool through the hole of each weaving stick, placing in the middle of the strand; these will become the warp threads of your weave.
Place the sticks next to one another.
Tie off the ends making sure that each end is tied to an end that comes from another stick.
Now tie the end of the wool you will be weaving to one of the outside sticks.
Begin the weave the wool in and out of the sticks bringing the wool around the last stick.
Continue to weave and as the sticks fill up carefully push it down onto the warp threads.
Keep on weaving until you have created the length of strip you need.
Now push the weaving down to the knots.
Adjust the weaving to ensure it is evenly spaced.
Finally cut the warp threads near the holes of the sticks and tie off as you did at the start.
