Instructions
To create a double treble crochet stitch (dtr) - The following instructions assume you have already created the required length of chain stitch.
For this stitch allow five extra stitches on the chain stitch.
On the first row insert hook in the fifth stitch along.
When working all other rows insert into the second stitch.
Wrap the wool around the hook twice.
Insert the hook into the stitch below.
Loop the wool around the hook and pull through one chain; this will leave you with four loops.
Wrap the wool around the hook and pull through two loops.
Continue to loop one, pull two until you have completed the stitch.
Insert the hook into the next stitch and repeat the process until you reach the end of the row or chain stitch.
At the end you will need to crochet four chain stitches in order to turn the crochet and start the next line by inserting the hook into the second stitch.
When you have completed simply loop the wool around the hook, cut the wool around 15cm or 6” long and pull the wool through pulling tight to make a knot.
