Instructions
To create half treble crochet stitch (htr): - The following instructions assume you have already created the required length of chain stitch.
For this stitch allow three extra stitches on the chain stitch.
On the first row insert hook in the third stitch along.
When working on all other rows insert into the first stitch.
Loop the wool around the hook.
Insert into stitch below.
Loop the wool around the hook.
Pull one stitch through this loop, which leaves you three loops on the hook.
Wrap the yarn around the hook.
Pull three loops through to complete the stitch.
Insert the hook into the next stitch and repeat the process until you reach the end of the chain stitch or row.
At the end you will need to crochet two chain stitches in order to turn the crochet and start the next line by inserting the hook into the first stitch.
When you have completed simply loop the wool around the hook, cut the wool around 15cm or 6” long and pull the wool through pulling tight to make a knot.
