Instructions
To create double crochet stitch (dc) - The following instructions assume you have already created the required length of chain stitch.
For this stitch allow two extra stitches to your chain stitch.
When making the first row insert hook in the second stitch along.
When working all other rows insert into the first stitch.

Insert hook.
Wrap wool around hook.
Pull so one loop falls from the hook.
Wrap wool around hook.
Pull so two loops fall from hook; this is your stitch complete.
Continue to the end of the row or chain stitch.
At the end you will need to crochet one chain stitch in order to turn the crochet around and start the next line by inserting the hook into the first stitch.
When you have completed simply loop the wool around the hook, cut the wool around 15cm or 6” long and pull the wool through pulling tight to make a knot.
