How to make your pompon - You can buy pompom makers however make your own by cutting two circles of card the size you want your finished pompom, with a hole in the middle of each.
Place them together and wind off a small amount of wool from the main ball.
Hold end of the wool and begin to wind the wool around the card inserting through the hole.
Pull on the wool slightly so it is at a good tension.
Keep winding until the hole is almost closed turning the card as you work.
Using a pair of sharp scissors cut around the outer edge of the circle.
When you have cut all the way around cut a piece of wool around 20cm or 8”.
Wrap this piece of wool between the two pieces of card, pull tightly and tie off.
Carefully rip away the card and trim pompom into shape as needed.
