Instructions
How to make your tassel - Firstly cut a piece of card 7.5cm or 3” wide and as long as the finished tassel wanted.
Cut two grooves on either side of the card.
Take a piece of wool around 20cm or 8” long and place across the card and slip into the grooves.
Take your main ball of wool and wrap around the card, pulling slightly for a good tension.
Keep on wrapping until you have created the thickness of tassel you want.
Cut the end of the wool.
Now take the wool out of the grooves, bring to the top of the card and tie off securely.
Snip the other end of the wool and remove the tassel from the card.
Now bind the top of the tassel with some wool pulling tightly.
Finish by threading the two ends onto a needle and pulling the thread down the middle of the tassel.
Trim as needed for a neat finish.
