Instructions
You will need - A pot holder weaving loom, a long handled hook, some wool and a pair of scissors.
Instructions - Tie a knot around 5cm or 2” from the end of your wool and place in the anchor slit in the corner.
Take the wool up to the first peg on the opposite side, wrap around the back and bring back down to the opposite peg.
Continue in this way until you have worked the length of the loom.
Now take the loom threader, working hook end first weave under two threads, over two threads starting in the corner with the anchor slit.
Catch the wool in the hook and gently pull the wool.
Catch the wool onto the first peg.
Repeat this process, but this time weave over two under two.
If necessary use the end of the hook to straighten the wool.
Continue in this way until you have worked the width of the loom.
To cast off take the first loop on the first peg and pick up with the crochet hook.
Pick up the second loop and slip this through the first.
Continue to work your way around the loom in this way.
When you get to the last loop take the wool in the anchor slit and pass through the last loop to complete.
