Project
Shopping List
Bull nosed pliers
Wire cutters
10 beads
2 reels of 24 gauge wire (two shades)
50cm 1mm wire
Instructions
Step one - Cut 5cm (2") from the 1mm wire and place this small section to one side. Then fold the remaining wire in half and wind around the bullnose pliers twice. Now twist the wire around itself for approx 5cm (2").
Step two - Wind the wire around the bullnose pliers twice to create a second loop.
Step three - Create the heart shape and take the wire from the bottom loop up to the top and wind around the top loop to fix in place.
Step four - Wrap the remaining wire around the outside section of the heart.
Step five - Fasten the end of the wire and ensure all ends are tucked in well.
Step six - Remove the wire from one of the reels and cut into three equal parts. Take the first piece and wrap a couple of times around the middle section of the heart to attach.
Step seven - Begin to wrap the wire around the heart shape.
Step eight - Once the first section of wire has been wrapped around the heart take the second reel of wire, cut into three equal sections then attach one to the first section of wire and continue to wrap.
Step nine - To ensure the wire does not move every couple of wraps loop the wire around the outside main wire body.
Step ten - Continue to build up the design in this way until you get to the last section of wire.
Step eleven - When you get to the last section of wire thread with a selection of beads. If this is to be worn as a necklace position on the one side. However if to be used as a decoration then position on both sides. When complete ensure you thread the end of the wire into the heart.
Step twelve - Take the small section of wire you cut off in step one and thread 2-3 beads onto it. Create two loops, one at either end then thread onto the lower loop of the heart.
