Break off the yarn leaving enough length to thread through a yarn needle. Thread the yarn through the stitches, draw up and secure.

    Press as advised yarn label.

To make up - Sew up back seam.
    Tidy any hanging threads.
Fold up cuff and neatly sew in place along side edges.
    Make two ties by twisting together 4 x 30cm (12 1/2") threads.
Sew above the knot securely to the ear flap so it will not unwind.
    Cut off the knot carefully.
Leave the bottom end as it is.

Make a small bobble and attach to centre top.

Tip for making ties - An easy way to do this is to cut a piece 120cm (48") long, fold in half , then in half again. Place the looped end over a chair back rung, or hook. Separate the threads into two sets. Then, similar to plaiting hair, pass the strand round and round each other until you reach near to the end. Tie a knot leaving enough left to make a fringe. Take the other end off the chair-back/hook and do the same that end, cutting a fringe.
