Tension and finished size - Tension 17 stitchess x 25 rows for every 10cm (4")
Finished size 21cm x 121cm (8½" x 48½")

Abbreviations used - sts = stitches
gs = garter stitch (all rows knit)

Step one - Cast on 42 st/s
Work in gs for 125cm (50")
Cast off

Step two - Cut lining to match size of stole, with the knitting in a relaxed position. Do not stretch in either direction.
Sew around both long sides and one end, with the lining pinned or tacked in place.
(NB.There is no right or wrong side to the knitting so choose the side you prefer as the right side).
Turn right side out and neatly hand sew the last end
