Step three - Work all the way around the ring until you have two straws in each space.
Step four - Now take the mauve straws and place in the ring leaving 3 spaces.
Step five - Work all the way around the ring so there are now 2 mauve and 2 natural straws in each space.
Step six - Now take the natural straws and place across the ring, so each space now has 5 straws.
Step seven - Push the middle section of the ring into place to hold straws firmly.
Step eight - Now wrap each set of five straws tightly with the thread/floss and tie off securely.
Step nine - Trim the mauve straws to create long points, you may need to adjust the straws prior to cutting to ensure they meet.
Step ten - Trim the natural straws so the middle of the set of three is slightly shorter than the outside two and ends in a point. Remove middle section of ring and carefully remove star.
