Place mat wooden blank
Yellow paint
Three complimentary shades of paint
Paint brush
Sponge
Acetate
Masking tape
Circular cutter
Sand paper (optional)

Instructions |

step one - Sand the place mat blank if needed and wipe with a clothe. Paint a base coat with the yellow paint and allow to dry.

step two - Cut three different sized circles from the acetate (ours were 6cm, 4cm and 2cm). Stick these to the place mat and sponge the three shades of paint through the circles.

step three - Allow the paint to dry and repeat the process overlapping the circles as you work.
|

|
step four - Continue in this way buidling up the cirlces until you are happy with your finished design.
