Craft Ark Project - Card Making - Wish you were here
Turn your favourite photograph into a simple but different card.

Project Shopping List

  • A4 card
  • A5 copy of your chosen photograph
  • Copy of photograph 7.5cm x 6cm (3" x 2.5")
  • A6 x 2 card in toning colour
  • Double sided sticky pads
  • Double sided sticky tape
  • Rule
  • Craft knife
  • Light box
  • Cutting mat
  • Embossing tool

    step one - Create a stencil using the A5 photograph - to find out how to do this visit mkaing a stencil from a photograph in our techqniues section.


    step two - Fold the A4 card in half then emboss the photgraph stencil onto the front of the card using the embossing tool and the light box.


    step three - Take the smaller photograph and using the rule tear a straight line around the four outer edges.

    step four - TEar down the two pieces of A6 card so one is slightly larger than the photograph and the next larger still.


    step five - Attach the larger of the two pieces of card to the folded A4 embossed card using the double sided sticky tape - try to pick a place on the card that will not hide too much of the embossed detial.


    step six - Now attach the next piece of card and finally the photograph using the double sided sticky pads.
