  • Instructions
Step One - Using the twist ‘n’ curl tool make 6 stage two beads (go to techniques section to see video clip of twist ‘n’ curl beads being created) which measure 4cm (1½”) when complete and 1 stage three bead, which measures 4cm (1½”) when complete.
Step Two - To create the shorter section of the necklace cut a piece of beading thread 51cm (20”) long and thread through needle, attach one of the small seed beads or knot with a large knot, then thread through the necklet end.
Step Three - Then bead as follows: 6 small yellow beads, 5 large red beads, 6 small yellow, 5 large red, 6 small yellow, 5 large red, 6 small yellow, 5 large red and 1 large yellow. This section should now measure 10.5cm (4¼”) long.
Step Four - Thread on the first twist ‘n’ curl bead then 1 large yellow, 1 large red and large yellow.
Step Five - Repeat this so you have four twist ‘n’ curl beads in place.
Step Six - Now bead the other half of this section by reversing the beading sequence in step 3 and bead up.
Step Seven - Pass thread through the second necklet end then the second of the small seed beads, and fasten off securely.
Step Eight - Cut another piece of thread 60cm (23½”) long and secure to one of the small seed beads, then pass through the necklet end.
Step Nine - Beading sequence is as follows: 45 large red beads, 3 large yellow, 1 stage two twist ‘n’ curl, 4 large yellow, 1 stage three twist ‘n’ curl bead, four large yellow, 1 stage two twist ‘n’ curl bead, 3 large yellow, 45 large red beads. This section should now measure 39cm (15½”) long.
Step Ten - Attach this second section to the seed bead which was used to tie off the first.
Step Eleven - Squeeze the necklace ends around the two small seed beads, then to complete attach to the necklace clasp, cutting off any loose ends.
