Paper Mache box
white acrylic paint or solution of 50% water and 50% PVA glue
purple acrylic paint
one sheet of purple and silver thread special effect paper
10mm silver ribbon
glue
purple round gem
silver cross embellishment

| Looking for something a little different to keep those gems in then this gothic treasure chest may well be the answer. |
Instructions |

step one - Prime the box with either the pva mix or white acrylic paint allow to dry. Paint the box with the purple paint, giving 2-3 coats to get a good coverage then allow to dry.

step two - Cut paper to fit lid and sides of box and glue in place.
|
|
step three - Thread the silver cross with the silver ribbon and glue the ribbon, so the embellishment sits in the centre of the front of the lid, continue gluing strips of silver ribbon to trim the lid and around the sides of the base of the box.

|
step four - Finish with a single gem on the centre front of the base.
